LaughTrak is a native iOS app for stand-up comedy fans. It lets you follow your favorite comedians, browse their specials and albums, discover nearby comedy clubs on a map, find live shows in your area, and receive notifications when followed comedians release new material or perform near you.

Yes — LaughTrak is free to download and use. The app includes an optional Tip Jar (in-app purchase) if you'd like to support development, but all core features are available at no cost.

No account needed. LaughTrak uses your existing Apple ID and iCloud to sync your followed comedians across your devices — nothing extra to sign up for.

LaughTrak requires iOS 18 or later and runs on iPhone. iCloud sync works across any of your Apple devices signed in to the same Apple ID.

Tap the search bar on the Comedians tab, type the comedian's name, and tap on their profile in the results. From their detail page, tap the Follow button to add them to your lineup.

Comedian profiles, specials, and albums are sourced from the Jester Comedy API — a dedicated comedy database. Additional special metadata may come from TMDB (The Movie Database).

Comedian data is pulled from third-party databases. If something looks incorrect, please contact us with the comedian's name and what appears to be wrong — we'll look into it.

On the Comedians tab, swipe left on a comedian's card, or tap into their profile and use the Unfollow option. You can also unfollow all comedians at once from Settings → Unfollow All.

The Map tab uses your device's location (with your permission) to show comedy clubs near you on an interactive map. Tap any pin to see the club's name, address, rating, and contact information.

Live comedy events are powered by Ticketmaster. LaughTrak sends your location to Ticketmaster to retrieve upcoming shows near you. Tap any event to get ticketing links.

Make sure you've granted LaughTrak location access. Go to Settings → Privacy & Security → Location Services → LaughTrak and set it to "While Using the App."

In the app, go to the Settings tab → Notifications. Toggle on "New Video Releases" and/or "Tour Notifications." If you haven't already granted notification permission, iOS will prompt you to do so.

LaughTrak periodically checks the Jester Comedy database in the background and compares current specials against what it last saw. If something new appears for a comedian you follow, you'll get a local notification.

Go to Settings → Location → Search Radius and choose your preferred distance. Tour notifications will only fire when a followed comedian has a show within that radius.

Yes. Your list of followed comedians is stored in your iCloud private database and syncs across all your Apple devices signed in to the same Apple ID — automatically, with no setup required.

Go to Settings → Advanced → Erase iCloud Data to remove all synced data from iCloud. Then use Reset All Settings to clear local storage. Finally, delete the app from your device.

No. LaughTrak does not collect or store personal data on our servers. Your data lives on your device and in your personal iCloud account. See our Privacy Policy for full details.
